August 16, 2026. Shownieuws. About André's 6th grandchild. Today on Shownieuws (Dutch TV): André's sixth grandchild, who will be born in December 2026, is the fourth child of his eldest son Marc. We don't hear much from Marc. Latest known news: his posting on FB from May 2022: “My dear friends on Facebook! It has been a while since you've heard from me, and this has a special reason. More than two years ago, the worldwide covid pandemic had changed everything in our lives... also in mine! Therefore, I decided to answer my inner voice: time for a career change! Nowadays, I'm a teacher in highschool, not a painter anymore. This means there won't be an annual exhibition anymore in Maastricht in the Vrijthof Theatre. There are some paintings available left, which I will place on Facebook one of these days... Please send a PM in case you're interested. Marc and his wife Andrea have 3 children: Ivan is the eldest, born in June 2009, then daughter Fleur (born in 2010), and son Merlin (born in 2016). In December 2026, their fourth child is due. Marc is André and Marjorie's eldest son, born in 1978. He pursued his talents to become a painter, and during his father's Vrijthof concerts in July, he set up a space in the theater at the Vrijthof to exhibit his works for the fans. Like his mother, Marc preferred to stay out of the public eye with his family. But in July, he was open to the fans, who could walk freely in and out of his exhibition space, and he was easily accessible to chat with everyone. In 2009, André announced that he had become a grandfather for the first time to grandson Ivan, Marc and Andrea's first son. He proudly displayed the baby's photo on the big screens. In the same year, the number of grandchildren for André and Marjorie expanded significantly with twins born to Pierre and Eefje. Two daughters who brought the total number of grandchildren to three. Marc and Andrea, who no longer lived in Maastricht, had a daughter, Fleur, in 2010 and another son, Merlin, in 2016. More photos of André with the twins appeared in the media because Pierre's family lived next door to him.
