August 14, 2017: Carmen Monarcha and Octavio on Facebook: “Did you know that in 10 weeks of pregnancy, the baby already stretches the arms and legs? It's the beginning of a dream! Even so small, I can feel this immense life that grows every day in my womb and in our hearts. Thank you baby, for existing and for bringing such joy to our lives!”

The baby is expected to arrive in March 2018. In the meantime Carmen will tour with André and the Johann Strauss Orchestra to Chile, Mexico and the USA.

August 24, 2017: Mirusia (6 months pregnant) and Carmen Monarcha perform with André Rieu and the Johann Strauss Orchestra four concerts in Santiago de Chile. This is what Mirusia wrote on Facebook: “Two pregnant sopranos! It's so lovely that one of my best friends in the world is pregnant at the same time as me. Big congratulations to my sister-in-song, Carmen Monarcha. I can't wait to share baby memories together”.

October 5, 2017. Carmen Monarcha and Octavio announce that the baby is a boy! Mirusia and Youri will have a daughter in December 2017 and Carmen and Octavio a son in March 2018. During a fan gathering on November 11th in Curitiba, Brazil, Octavio revealed that the baby’s name will be VICTOR. Congratulations! Wonderful name!

March 2, 2018 Carmen Monarcha and her husband Octavio Augusto Oliviera proudly announced the arrival of their son, on the 2nd of March 2018, at 9.40 PM. His name is Victor Monarcha. Welcome to the world, Victor! Congratulations Carmen and Octavio! We wish you and the baby much happiness and good health.

May 13, 2018. Sao Paulo, Brasil. On Facebook appeared a lovely family photo and a three generations photo with Carmen’s mother Marina and baby Victor, on the occasion of Carmen’s first Mother’s Day.

December 2018. Facebook Mirusia: The last time Carmen and I sang together was in August 2017 with André Rieu in Chile. In this photo I was 6 months pregnant and Carmen was 3 months pregnant. What a thrill and coincidence it was for us to be pregnant at the same time! In our lives we have shared so much together, on and off stage, and to be able to share this special time in our lives was just another wonderful experience. Now we join forces again: 8 December - Riverstage, Brisbane; 13 December - Dunstan Playhouse, Adelaide; 16 December - Kedron-Wavell, Brisbane.

On August 24 2019, Rudolfo Schneider and Angela Caracik, moderators of the Carmen Monarcha fan group in Brasil, organized a wonderful fan gathering with lunch in Curitiba. As a present for Carmen they created a fan video. Fragments can be watched on their Facebook Page “Amigos e admiradores de Carmen Monarcha. Carmen was present with Octavio and little Victor (1,5 years old).

Announcement to the members of the Harmony Parlor on Facebook, of Carmen’s second pregnancy. The baby will be a girl, and they also revealed the name: Catharina. The expected birth will be in the Fall of 2019.

The video below is our contribution to the surprise video for Carmen, showed to her on August 24th 2019, during the Brasilian fan gathering in Curitiba. Carmen’s 40th birthday is on August 27, 2019.

September 8, 2019. Breaking news on Facebook!! Carmen Monarcha announces that she’ll be André’s guest on the four concerts in the Movistar Arena, Bogotá, Colombia, on September 12, 13, 14 and 15, 2019. That’s a real surprise for the fans!

September 2019. In Bogotá (Colombia) Carmen Monarcha joined the Johann Strauss Orchestra again as a guest soprano. She performed an aria from the opera Madame Butterfly, by Giacomo Puccini.

On November 20th 2019, baby Catharina Monarcha was born. Mother and baby are doing well. We send our congratulations and best wishes to the proud parents.
