HOW TO VOTE FOR ANDRÉ RIEU AS PERSON OF THE YEAR.

André was elected as Person of the Year in 2007, Elvis Presley in 2008, Michael Jackson in 2009. For 2010 André ended up as third, after Michael Jackson and Elvis Presley. For 2011 the final results were the same as 2010. It is boring!! We think it is not fair that persons who have passed away, keep on getting so many votes year after year, but let's think that André is the first person alive, so to our opinion he really won the election as person of the year!

Go to www.persoonvanhetjaar.nl  This is the Dutch internet election for the Person of the Year. The voting for the year 2012 starts at January 1st.

You're on the homepage now. Change language into English, by clicking the British flag. Click on the box "Vote", next to André's name and picture. If André cannot be found on the homepage, please click on "Nominees" in the tool bar and click the letter R (of Rieu). Find André's picture and click on the box "Vote" next to his picture. That will take you to the next page. Fill in your e-mail address and click on the box "remember". Click on "Vote" again. That's it!

But.... don't forget to wait for the return of an e-mail in a few minutes. For your vote to be counted, you HAVE TO confirm the return e-mail by clicking on the blue line that same day. Now you have definitely voted. You can vote daily (from the same IP address, which means the same computer) from January till December.

To see the final results so far, please click on "score" in the tool bar. There a list of the first 100 persons is shown.

We start all over in January 2012 and all the united fans around the world can make André the winner for 2012. Let's give it a try!! Can we beat Michael and Elvis?? Vote every single day of the year 2012 and don't forget to confirm the return e-mail.

If you would also like to vote for another person, for instance Mirusia, who is not on the home page, do the following: Go to the home page again and click on "Nominees" in the tool bar. Click the letter L. (first letter of last name). Scroll down and find Louwerse, Mirusia. Vote in the same way, daily.
